China Glaze: Let's Groove

China Glazen Let's Groove pääsi piristämään päivääni tällä kertaa. NailTek Intensive Therapy II aluslakkana, 2 kerrosta Let's Groovea ja päällä Poshen pikakuivattava lakka. Let's Groove on juuri sopiva tumma violetti: tumma, mutta silti selvästi violetti eikä esimerkiksi musta violetilla vivahteella.

This time I cheered myself up with China Glaze's Let's Groove. NailTek Intensive Therapy II as base coat, 2 coats of Let's Groove and Poshe's super-fast drying top coat. Let's Groove is perfect dark purple as it is dark but still clearly purple - not black with a hint of purple.

What dark polish shades do you like the most right now or do you like dark polishes at all?

Essie: Sugar Daddy

Onnistuin repäisemään kolme kynttä hajalle parin päivän sisään muun muassa telomalla yhden kynnen takin vetoketjuun. Seurauksena kaikki kynnet lyhenivät ihan lyhyiksi kun viilasin ne saman mittaisiksi. Töppökynteni lakkasin tällä kertaa Essien Sugar Daddy -lakalla, jota on kuvassa kolme kerrosta. Tämä on todella luonnollinen kevyt vaaleanpunertava sävy. Levittyy tasaisesti.

Kuten kuvasta huomaa, niin kynsinauhani ovat talven kunniaksi kuivahtaneet oikein kunnolla, etenkin kun olen kiireissäni laiminlyönyt niiden hoitoa. Onko muilla tällä hetkellä käsien ja kynsinauhojen kuivumisen kanssa ongelmia vai olenko ainoa joka on laiminlyönyt käsiään? Kohtalotovereita tarvitaan ettei ole niin syyllinen olo laiminlyönnin takia... :)


I managed to break three of my nails within a couple of days for example by breaking one nail with my coat's zipper. As a result I had to shorten all my nails. In this photo I'm wearing Essie's Sugar Daddy which is a really natural pale pink. It goes on smoothly.

As you can see from the photo, my cuticles are really dry - thanks for the winter and the lack of moisturizing as I haven't taken care of my hands recently. Am I the only one whose nails and hands are dry and haven't been taken care of or does someone else have problems with her hands as well?

NYX For Eye Colour Brown makeup

Tässä ensimmäinen meikkini NYX:n For Eye Colour Brown -paletilla. Sisänurkassa valkeaa, liikkuvalla luomella vaaleaa persikkaa, luomivaossa tummempaa persikkaa, kulmaluulla kultaa, alarajauksena vihreää. Tarkat sävyt on merkitty numeroin kuviin. :) Rajaukset Oriflame Visions Dynamic Duo Eyelinerilla sävy Thelma&Louise, ylhäällä musta rajaus ja alhaalla vaalea sisärajaus. Ripsissä Shiseido Mascara Base sekä Max Factor False Lash Effect. En saa FLE:llä niin siistiä tulosta kuin haluaisin, mikä johtunee siitä että kyseinen ripsari vaikuttaa kuivahtaneen kun on odottanut käyttöönottoa niin kauan... Kulmakarvoissa Shiseidon kulmakynä sävy Ash Blonde + Yves Rocherin väritöntä geeliä.

Here is my first makeup done with NYX For Eye Colour Brown palette. In the inner corner I'm wearing white, on the lid light peachy shade, on the crease darker peach shade, on the brow bone some gold and on the lower lid I have green. The specific shades are marked to the photo of the palette. :) The black lining on the upper lid and the light pink lining on the lower inner lid are done with Oriflame Visions Dynamic Duo Eyeliner "Thelma&Louise". On the lashes I have Shiseido Mascara Base and Max Factor False Lash Effect. MF FLE doesn't give me as perfect results as I would like to which is probably because the mascara seems to have dried up a bit when I was storing it in my closet... Eyebrows are done with Shiseido Eye brow pencil shade Ash Blonde and after that I applied some clear gel by Yves Rocher.

Blogi päivittyy valitettavasti hieman harvakseltaan ja epäsäännöllisesti, koska kaksi opiskelupaikkaa + osa-aikatyö on tällä hetkellä sen verran aikaa vievä yhdistelmä ettei blogille ole aikaa eikä energiaa ihan siinä määrin kuin haluaisin. I'm updating my blog unregularly as my two studying places and a part-time job keep me so busy nowadays that I don't have as much time and energy to spend with my blog as I would like to. Sitten uusiin ostoksiin! Kävin kaverin kanssa kiertämässä kosmetiikkaosastoa ja ostin muutamia look-tuotteita Nivealta, Lorealilta ja Lumene Natural Codelta. Then to my new products! I browsed the cosmetics counters with my friend and bought some look makeup by Nivea, Loreal and Lumene Natural Code. I purchased an eye shadow trio 350 Pure Silver from Loreal's Silver&Gold -look, a blush 06 Fever Pink from Nivea by Chantall Thomas collection and two nail polishes (22 Classy and 25 Little Miss) from Lumene Natural Code Style Instinct Trend Collection Autumn/Winter 2009 collection.

Lorealin Silver&Gold -lookin Pure Silver trio on todella kaunis! Suosittelen tätä lämpimästi kaikille, jotka pitävät hopeisista luomivärisävyistä. En ole vielä ehtinyt kokeilla tätä luomille, mutta swatchasin sävyt teille ja ne ovat todella pigmenttisiä ja levittyvät pehmeästi. Tämä on ollut suosittu paletti sillä se oli jo loppu esimerkiksi Helsingin keskustan Stockmannilta eikä lisää ole tulossa.

Loreal's Silver&Gold collection's Pure Silver eye shadow palette is amazingly beautiful! I really recommend this for anyone who likes silver in eye shadows. I haven't done a makeup with this yet but I swatched the shades for you and they are really pigmented and apply smoothly. This has been a popular palette as this was alrady sold out in some stores.

Nivea 06 Fever Pink

Nivea by Chantall Thomas -lookin pinkkiä poskipunaa 06 Fever Pink olen katsellut jo jonkin aikaa ja nyt vihdoin sain sen ostettua. Tämäkin on koostumukseltaan pehmeä ja tasaisesti levittyvä ja sävy on herkullinen vaalea pinkki. En valitettavasti saanut tästä kunnon swatchia keinovalossa, joten joudutte nyt tyytymään rasiakuvaan.

I've been thinking about this pink blush from Nivea by Chantall Thomas look for a while and now I finally purchased it. This is soft and applies smoothly as well, shade is a delicious light pink. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good swatch photo of this in the artificial light.

Lumene Natural Code 22 Classy & 25 Little Miss

Lumene Natural Coden syksyn ja talven lookkiin kuuluvat kynsilakat 25 Little Miss (kulta) ja 22 Classy (hopea) tarttuivat mukaan, koska rakastan sekä hopeisia että kultaisia kynsilakkoja. Kultaista ehdin jo kokeilla kynsille, kahdella kerroksella kärjet näkyvät vielä selvästi läpi eli nämä eivät ole kovin peittäviä mutta kerrostamalla peittävyyttäkin varmasti saa tarvittaessa.

I love both silver and gold nail polishes so I just had to buy both 25 Little Miss (gold) and 22 Classy (silver) from Lumene Natural Code's autumn/winter look. I already tried the golden one and tips can be clearly seen after two coats so these are not very covering but I'm sure applying more coats will make these full covering if necessary.
